Car Share
The process is simple
- Join
- Simply register your details and upload a few documents via the website.
- Book
- Log in your account on the website and book a vehicle for the date, time and location you require.
- Drive
- Use your GO-EV Card to unlock the vehicle at the beginning of your booking and you will find the keys inside the glove box.
- Return
- Return the vehicle to your dedicated parking bay. Plug the vehicle back in to the charger, lock the vehicle using your GO-EV Card.

Nissan eNV200 VAN Acenta
A great vehicle for moving your bulky items. This van has nearside and offside sliding doors, 60/40 rear doors, roof rack (max load 100kg), full metal bulkhead and full ply-lining. It also has hill start assist and a rear view camera.
Nissan Combi 5 & 7 Seater Van
Nissan eNV200 Combi Acenta 7 Seater & a 5 Seater with Wheelchair Access
A great people carrier for up to 7 people with ISOFIX seats and roof rack (max load 100 kg). It has hill start assist and rear view camera. It can also be configured to have less seats for more luggage space.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I use the vehicle for business use?
- Yes, but the vehicles shall not be used for the purposes of financial gain arising directly from use of the Vehicle, for example use of the vehicles to provide taxi services.
- How much will it cost?
- £6/hr. Bookings exceeding 6 hours will be charged the day rate of £33/day. Insurance is included. Only pay for hire time - no additional price per mile.
- Is there a minimum/maximum age limit?
- Yes, you must be aged between 21 and 75.
- How long can I book a vehicle?
- For one rental a minimum booking of 30 minutes is required and a maximum of 28 consecutive days. You can make several bookings. If you require a vehicle for longer than 28 days please contact us.
- Can I change my booking?
- Yes, you can modify your booking in your account. If it is less than 2 hours prior you may still be charged. For cancellations, please check the cancellation policy in the terms and conditions to avoid charges.
- If I finish my reservation early, will I still be charged for the full time I reserved?
- If you book a vehicle but only use it for part of the time booked, you will still be charged for unused time.
- What documents do I need to provide?
- Driving Licence (Front and back)
- A photo of you with your driving licence
- DVLA Licence Check Code: Your Driving Licence Check Code be obtained from DVLA online service “Share Driving Licence”. You will need your Driving Licence number and your National Insurance number to access this.
- Proof of address: it must be less than 60 days old (e.g. a photo/scan of a bank or credit card statement/official letter or a utility bill).
- Who is eligble?
GO-EV Car Share is available to people who have their residential or business address on the Isles of Scilly. We will also consider prospective users that are conducting business on the Islands.
Please check you match the full criteria to be covered by our driving insurance. We will consider some prospective drivers that are conducting business in the Isles of Scilly for the benefit of the Islands, on a case-by-case basis.
- Can I cancel my booking?
- Yes, booked vehicles can be cancelled at any time however additional charges of up to 100% of a day’s rental charge may apply if you cancel less than 2 hours before the start of your rental period.
How to get the app
Once you have signed up or logged in to our online booking system, you can then save it to your phone as an app.
On an Apple iPhone, once you have logged in to GO-EV Car Share, click the share symbol, and then click “Add to Home Screen”.
On an Android phone, once you've logged in to GO-EV Car Share, click the three dots menu and select “Add to Home Screen”.
